“I HAD SEX….! I can’t even explain how this feels. Just wanted to share this (HUGE FREAKING MOMENT) really quickly with you [all]. My head is spinning!! Love you all + this community, let’s keep it pushing!! There’s a lot of factors that went into this today but I’m so so grateful. So happy to have the space to share my feelings.”
“The biggest change is that downloading the app gave me all the motivation to actually start making progress. I started using dilators and have hardly missed a day since I joined the app. (Already went up one size!!) It feels great to have access to a group of people that are having similar experiences, sharing those experiences, and asking each other questions is very valuable to me. I've also learned a lot about vaginismus itself through the lessons. It made it easier to talk about it with people around me and also helped me understand myself and my body better."”
“This is definitely something I’m going to continue to utilize! The courses are so precise and well summarized. The images helped a lot! I learned more deeply about the purpose behind diaphragmatic breathing, the anatomy behind the jaw connection + how to help it (I will try the massaging!), and just overall the anatomy of the pelvic floor and how it is supposed to correctly function. ”
“I am just writing this email after crying tears of joy. For the first time in over a year, I was able to fully enter the first dilator. I have been stuck with half of the dilator for a very long time. It really held me accountable for showing up and doing the work I was dreading for so long. This is a great tool for accountability. I can already see a big change in my progress. I thank the universe for bumping into you on my TikTok FYP and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s struggling with vaginismus/vulvodynia.”
““It’s been so freeing to be open about my condition with no shame. This group chat has helped me so much already. For the first time in my life, I feel seen in this area and it’s so relieving. I love reading about everyone’s journeys because it gives me hope.” ”
“Got another #recoverywin to share tonight! I was finally able to fully insert the smallest dilator for the first time. I can’t express how IMPOSSIBLE this has felt for so long but I know y’all get it. I swear having this community to remind me that I’m not alone & not broken has been the most helpful thing. Love to you all!”
“I feel so much more confident in myself with my condition. I use to think that I would struggle for the rest of my life, but now I know with hard work and patience I can achieve my goals in treatment for myself. Azia [co-founder of Dilato] taught me to not only be comfortable with my condition but to be comfortable with my body in general.”
“Azia [co-founder of Dilato] is so kind and helpful....After Azia told me about the position she inserts in, I’ve been able to do the same position and get every dilator in! I understand my body more and I’m not lost or confused anymore!”
“[Azia's] breathing techniques have helped so much, and learning ways to calm myself before practice. I have been able to get up to dilator size three in my practice and my comfort level has increased. Azia [co-founder of Dilato] has been the best part of the program. Her calming and supportive energy has helped me feel better about myself and my condition. I am very thankful for her and her knowledge”

As you are going through the Dilato Program, you may have questions that come up that require expert-informed answers. Connect and ask questions with Ellie on our live group calls on Dilato! Ellie is a pelvic pain coach with over 8 years of clinical experience working as a pelvic floor physiotherapist. She has worked with thousands of vagina-owners to guide them to pain-free sex.
Get access to over 60 interactive, engaging and guided videos created by pelvic floor physiotherapists, psychotherapists, sex coaches and pelvic-pain focused researchers! We help you break the fear-tension-pain cycle, better navigate pleasure and enjoyment with your partner, learn about both external (e.g. stretches, foam roll, breathing strategies) and internal pelvic floor release techniques (e.g. finger release + dilator use), and how to transition to pain-free penetrative vaginal sex. We also provide worksheets, guided meditations, quizzes and assignments throughout the program to help you apply what you are learning, as well as check-in point questionnaires to track your progress through the program!
Our community and support network provides a safe space with chat rooms from topics like dilators, treatments, dating, mental health, sex, emotional trauma and more. Ask questions in these monitored discussion boards (nothing is a silly question or TMI either). Meet individuals with similar conditions as you (because recovery is much easier when supported by friends who understand).

That’s okay! Many community members join before they even own dilators. The insertion tips can be practiced without dilators. Plus, we suggest not to start any type of internal work (ex. dilator insertion, finger insertion etc.) until external work is first attempted. We will guide you through external practices in the program! If you are ready to invest, the guide provides research and recommendations on how to buy your first dilator and which type is best for you!
